The best choice of drink isn’t even juice. Its Adirondack flavored water. This product is sold at Stop n' Shop, ShopRite, and in Big Y. Adirondack contains vitamins B3, B6, B12, and Ginseng. There is no sugar, fat, or calories. It also doesn’t get sticky, so it's okay to have at school. This water comes in all different flavors. It is refreshing and healthy so I certainly recommend it. Keyboarding with Mrs. Zak-- Not Just Typing
By Zeel Patel
Zeel: How are students chosen to be in a keyboarding?
Zak: All students who are not current in band or orchestra are welcome to take this class.
Zeel: Is this the first keyboard lab?
Zak: Yes, this is the first keyboard lab (at WMS).
Zeel: What do you like and dislike about the keyboard lab?
Zak: I like that students get to work in cooperative groups and get to help each other out. I dislike that there are only fifteen keyboards.
Zeel: What makes it easy and hard to teach keyboard?
Zak: It makes it easy because I have an IPod that controls what student do and I get to monitor them. It made it hard because I had to wait for the equipment and it would make it harder without training.
Zeel: How do you think you can improve keyboards?
Zak: I can improve the keyboards by purchasing new headphones. It would be interesting to see a mixed class that consists of students in chorus and applied music (band or orchestra). I would also like 7th and 8th graders to have a full year of keyboard and guitar.
Zeel: Did you get to order/choose the keyboards?
Zak: The district bought the keyboard for Washington and Lincoln Middle School. They were being creative with the budget.
Zeel: Is there anything else you want students to know about keyboards?
Zak: After this experience I want the students to be able to compose their own music. My goal is that at the end of eighth grade students can write their own commercial jingle. I have a teacher station where I can observe students' work.
