The Lorax
By Phoebe Carpentrer and Alyssa Kinard
Many families have had a great laugh and a fun time watching the movie The Lorax, based on a Dr. Seuss book that taught children the importance of trees and not to pollute their wonderful world.
Sadly, everyday our world is getting polluted, so this movie is certainly teaching us a lesson. Reviewers of the movie say that you should definitely go, but critics only say that is just all right. "It has great animation, but runs too far from the original story," reviewers say. The movie shows how we take things for granted and that nature should enrich our lives. Viewers say, "It really teaches our kids the right thing."
Despite the reviews, it sounds like a great rental movie! Running time: 86 minutes. Rating: PG.

Tutti-Frutti vs Kiwi Spoon: The Fro-Yo Comparison
By Spenser Trella
Frozen yogurt has hit our nation and is quickly becoming one of the most popular frozen treats. Among the many frozen yogurt restaurants around our area are Tutti-Frutti at the Westfield Mall, and Kiwi Spoon on South Broad St. Each place has some positives and negatives.

At Tutti-Frutti, a wide variety of flavors are offered, and the staff there is so friendly. They offer a rewards program for frequent visitors. For every nine purchases made, you get a free frozen yogurt. Something that is also great about Tutti-Frutti is that they serve fresh whipped cream; it's in the refrigerator; you need to ask someone to get it. Unfortunately, this place is so popular that it is often crowded and has long lines. My recommendation is that they hire more staff because there are usually only two people working the counter.

In contrast, Kiwi-Spoon has more yogurt flavors and varieties. However, they don't change them as often as Tutti-Frutti. If I told you that Kiwi Spoon's frozen yogurt flavors tasted better, I'd be lying. A positive for Kiwi Spoon is that it has a larger location, so there aren't the long lines. They also have more staff working there, which makes service faster.

Now it's up to you to decide which one you like the best. If you haven't tried frozen yogurt yet, you really should.
Book Review: The Lost Hero, Rick Riordan
By Omar Osorio, Jr.
Full of information and adventure, The Lost Hero, by Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson series, is the first of another series called, The Heroes of Olympus.
In the story, the satyr, Gleeson Hedge, is looking for half-bloods-- half- god, half- human. The satyr finds the following three half-bloods: Jason, a son of Jupiter, the god of the sky; Leo, son of Hephaestus, the god of fire and blacksmith; and Piper, a daughter of Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
At the Grand Canyon, they are attacked by storm spirits. Two other half-bloods appear and take them to Camp Half-Blood. When they get to camp, Leo gets claimed by Hephaestus. At the bonfire Piper gets claimed by Aphrodite. Then they are granted a quest. In the quest they meet Jason's sister who is a hunter for the goddess of the moon, and hunting. Afterwards, they meet the god of winds and he gives them advice. They go over what has happened these past few years. At the wolf house, they meet the giant's king. There they find Hera, goddess of love.
