Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 vs Apple Ipod touch 4
By Jamal Bouajjaj
Want to buy a media player (mp3) device for less than $230 plus tax, but don't know which one to get? We are going to compare two media players, the Galaxy Player 5.0 from Samsung and the iPod Touch 4 from Apple. We are looking at their size, camera, and memory.
First of all, due to its size, the Galaxy makes it possible to type fast without any mistakes. Its 3.07 inch by 5.56 inch size can fit perfectly into most pockets. Though, in the iPod's favor, its much smaller 2.32 inch by 4.4 inch screen means it will fit anywhere, but mistakes are easier to make.
Regarding their cameras, the iPod has a 0.7 megapixels camera, compared to the Galaxy's 3.2 megapixels. The Galaxy also features flash and auto-focus. They are both capable of 720p (HD) video recording.
Lastly, their memories are very different. The iPod at $200 has 8 GB of memory, the same as the Galaxy. The real difference shows off with their memory card* capability. While the iPod does not have a memory card* capability, the Galaxy has up to 32 GB of memory card* memory.
For more information about these devices, go to their website. I would recommend choosing the Galaxy Player because it has better camera, memory, and a larger screen. Remember, the iPod Touch 5 is better quality than all of the media players, but you need to pay at least $300 for it.
* Memory card sold separately from both devices.

Netbook versus Ultrabook: The Showdown
By Jonathan Goodman
The computer has evolved significantly since first personal computer or PC, the Altair 8800, was invented in 1975 by Ed Roberts. Laptops were first introduced in the 1980s, and netbooks were first on the scene in the 1990s. Now "ultrabooks" are making an appearance. PCs and laptops are entering the realm of obsolescence now, but fortunately netbooks and ultrabooks are still relevant (for now, anyway).
Let's start our comparison with netbooks. Netbooks are usually 10-12 inches long, but can be as small as 7 inches, making them the smallest computers around. Their weight ranges from 2.5 to 3 pounds. This makes them appealing for people who want to use them on the go. In addition, netbooks are better for surfing the web, streaming media, social networking, and typing up reports or notes.
Netbooks are superior in the category of battery life, most Netbooks currently available can run for eight to12 hours on a single charge, manufacturers claim. If you don't set the screen brightness on your netbook almost as low as it can go, and use every battery life lengthening trick in the book, your netbook's battery life is in the six to nine hour range on a single charge.
Unfortunately, the fact that netbooks have simpler processors means that they have less room for memory. Netbooks have smaller screens, another disadvantage. Don't think that their high pixel count (typically 1024 x 600 for a 10 inch model, the same pixel count as the average laptop), suggests otherwise. Since the space between the pixels is smaller, more of them can be squeezed into a smaller space.
In addition, most netbooks don't come with CD drives, making it impossible to transfer data from the CDs to the netbooks. However, this obstacle can be avoided if one has a cable, memory cards, or USB sticks.
Ultrabooks are drastically different. They range in width from 14 to 17 inches and weigh 2 to 4 pounds, which can be both a blessing and a curse. This size allows them to have larger processing power, which makes this device perfect for editing, presentations, and more serious gaming.
However, ultrabook's larger size means they are far less portable than netbooks. Furthermore, although its battery life, five to seven hours on a single charge, is more than that of a laptop's, netbooks' battery lives are still longer.
Ultimately, the device you choose will depend on your computing needs. If you simply wish to add an accessory device to your computer system, netbooks are the way to go. If it's a replacement for a laptop or desktop computer you desire, a heavy processing device, then you'll find that an ultrabook will suit your needs. In this technology based world, it's important to buy the right device.
